The Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Christopher Maikalangu has called on residents of the Council to continue to work towards the unity of the country.

This is contained in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Public Affairs, Mr Kingsley Madaki.

The statement says Maikalangu who made the call in his message to the residents of the Council stressed the need for residents to continue to strive to project values that have kept the country together as a single entity.

According to the statement the Chairman described AMAC as the Council hosting the nation’s capital city which symbolizes Nigeria’s unity, adding that the burden to exemplify this symbol rests on the residents of the Council.

It particularly commends, President Tinubu and the FCT Minister Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, for their exemplary leadership at this time of Nigeria’s history as an independent nationn.
