NCPC To Identify Sites In Nigeria For Tourism Development

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC is working with religious institutions to identify some religious sites for Tourism development in the country.

 

The Executive Secretary, Reverend Yakubu Pam stated this in Abuja while addressing Newsmen on activities to complete the Easter pilgrimage.

 

Reverened Pam said already the Federal Ministry of Tourism had sought the support of the Commission in making some Christian Sites across the country Tourism sites to attract foreign pilgrims.

 

The NCPC Boss maintained that no fewer than One Thousand intending pilgrims would be airlifted to Israeli, Jordan and Rome to complete the Easter exercise which was suspended due to a foreign exchange policy.

According to him, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu intervened and provided assistance to complete the Easter exercise.

 

Reverened Pam stressed that the Commission was already Working with State’ Christian Pilgrim Boards across the country to commence preparation for the annual pilgrimage starting from December.

 

The NCPC executive Secretary noted that the commission would be more thorough in its screening to ensure that only those yearning for spiritual growth were allowed to participate in the religious exercise.

 

He assured that the commission would sustain its direct flights to Israel which has commenced.

 

He appealed to State Governments and well meaning Nigerians to assist and sponsor those yearning for spiritual growth to the Holy Land.

 

According to him, it is the prayers of the faithful that is sustaining the country to overcome its challenges.
