Immediate past President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, representing Yobe North in the 9th National Assembly, is set to distribute 9,000 bags of grains to his constituents.
A statement by his Media Aid, Doctor Izrel Tabiowo says the move is an intervention by Senator Lawan, to complement efforts by Yobe state and Federal government, to ease the hardship currently faced by the people of his senatorial district.
It says the intervention will be undertaken by the Senator Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan (SAIL) Empowerment Foundation across the 60 wards in Yobe North Senatorial District.
According to the statement the grains to be distributed include 6,000 bags of rice; and 3,000 bags of millet.
The statement also says Beneficiaries are from the six local government areas of Yobe North Senatorial District : Bade, Nguru, Jakusko, Karasuwa, Yusufari and Machina.
Other beneficiaries include Muslim and Christian religious groups, and Persons with Disabilities.
Lawan is also billed to handover the newly constructed Federal Science and Technical College, Gashua, to the Yobe State Government for the official handing over to the Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Education.
