The immediate past Governor of Kano State Umar Ganduje has emerged as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
His emergence came shortly after the meeting of the National Working Committee, NWC of the party in Abuja.
Ganduje replaces the elected National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu who recently resigned alongside the National Secretary following some leadership crisis in the party.
Speaking after his emergence, Alhaji Ganduje appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the present administration as plans are underway to reposition the nation’s economy .
The Former Governor explained that under his watch, internal Democracy would be strictly adhered to, to enable the party function optimally for the benefit of Nigerians.
He also called on party members in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa States to work closely with all stakeholders to ensure the party wins the forthcoming governorship elections in November this year.
Earlier in his speech, President Ahmed Bola Tinubu charged the party members to imbibe the culture of promoting unity peace and love amongst each other to fulfill the dreams of the founding fathers of the party.
