A former Governor of Kano State AbdullahiGanduje has been elected as the National Chairman of the Ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Party’s National Executive Committee (NEC).
Ajibola Basiru, a former Senate spokesperson was also elected as the party’s National Secretary.
The election took place in Abuja during the Party’s NEC meeting which was attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, and prominent members of the party in the National Assembly.
President Tinubu who addressed the gathering said it was time the APC delivered on its campaign promises to Nigerians after winning the elections.
The former National Chairman of the Party, Senator Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Iyiola Omisore the Secretary had in July resigned their positions.
