NCOS Trains Personnel On GIS For Improved Productivity

A five day training for personnel of the Nigerian Correctional Service is in progress in Abuja.

The training which is based on the Geographic Information System is aimed at improving efficiency of the personnel.

At the opening ceremony, the Director General of the National Space Research and Development Agency, NARSDA, Dr. Halilu Ahmad Shabba stressed that collaboration was key in enhancing operations of the NCOS.

According to him, NARSDA was established to support other agencies in terms of pilot projects amongst others for national development.

Dr Shabba expressed optimism that the collaboration would go beyond training for the attainment of space capabilities
