Faith Based Organization Calls For Inclusion Of Youths In Governance

Government at all level has been urged to give priority to youth’s inclusion in governance to sustain internal democracy in the interest of the country

Faith based organizations Mambayya and Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society made the call at forum on Inter-General Dialogue on youth for leadership role in Nigeria.

The forum was aimed at given youth’s the opportunity to showcase their administrative potentials especially at the political architecture of the economy for nation building

The chief Imam of Al-Hababiyyah Faud Adeyemi called on religious and traditional leaders to guide and direct youth’s through various sensitization programs to harness their potentials to restore peace and stability in the country

In a remark, the chief Imam of the Bambmayyah house Habu Mohammed appealed to government to bring youth’s into positive roles of participation and contribution in decision making especially women to curb the high rate of gender inequality, adding that it will tackle the perennial challenges of unemployment among others

Another speaker, prof. Ismaila Zango of the Haambmayya said, one of the only problem in system is lack of leadership recruitment exercise and programs as to prepare youths emerging from such training for leadership positions in the country been a global best practices in the western world

Reacting to the effective collaborative efforts between the two faith based organization’s, Mambayya House and Al-Habibiyya Islamic society, Pro. Moses Aluaigba commended one of the major stakeholder and sponsor McArthur foundation for been a developmental partner and Pilar for engaging women and youths through various capacity building program as to fight the ills of  the country such as corruption, Terrorism and other antisocial vices bedevilling our country

The Senior program Officer, McArthur Foundation Africa Office, Abuja Dr Amina Salihu restated the foundations commitment to support the lead efforts of two Faith based foundations to produce viable leaders of tomorrow through technological advancement programs to build the ongoing and incoming leaders for nation building
