The inaugural edition of the Profilled World Homes Football Tournament concluded in thrilling fashion after three action-packed days of grassroots football, talent discovery, and entertainment.
The tournament, which kicked off on Friday, March 27, and ended on Sunday, March 29, featured eight teams: Profilled Classic, Profilled Royal, Team MD, Profilled Extreme, Profilled Apex, Profilled Galaxy, Profilled Luxury, and Profilled Ellisa.
Profilled Ellisa etched their name into history by defeating Profilled Classic 3–1 in the final to emerge as the maiden champions. Meanwhile, Profilled Extreme secured third place with a dominant 5–1 victory over Profilled Galaxy, capping off a tournament filled with goals and excitement.
Speaking after the final, the Managing Director of Profilled World Homes, Promise Egwim, who expressed satisfaction with the success of the maiden edition, as he explained that the tournament was conceived as a platform to identify and nurture young football talents.
“We Wanted to Discover and Promote Talent
I feel so fulfilled because we never knew it was going to come out this beautiful.
We are trying to encourage talents, starting with football.
The idea is to select the best players, promote them, and connect them with clubs and trial opportunities where they can be discovered.”
Dr. Egwim also hinted at hosting future editions in larger venues, potentially moving to standard stadium facilities to accommodate growing interest and participation.
“With this success, we are encouraged to do more. The next edition will definitely be bigger and better. We want to show the world that Nigeria has talents that can excel internationally.”
The Tournament has set a strong foundation in its debut year, combining competition, opportunity, and entertainment into a single platform.
In attendance were notable personalities and celebrities, including former Super Eagles midfielder and AFCON winner Sunday Mba, fashion entrepreneur Seyi Vodi, and popular entertainers Brain Jotter, Nedu Wazobia, Chuks D General, Kobo Master, and Shortcut.
