The Executive Chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), Hon. Christopher Maikalangu, has extended his warmest greetings to the Muslim Ummah within the Council and across the nation on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
This is contained in a statement, by his Senior Special Assistant SSA, on Media and Public Affairs Mr Kingsley Madaki.
In his Sallah message, Hon. Maikalangu urged residents to carry forward the lessons of piety, sacrifice, and discipline learned during Ramadan.
He emphasized that the sustainable development of the Federal Capital Territory requires the collective spiritual and physical support of all citizens.
The Chairman used the occasion to once again express his profound gratitude to the Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Barr. Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, for his unwavering support and mentorship.
“As we celebrate this joyous occasion, I want to specially thank my mentor, the FCT Minister, for his leadership and for standing by us.
“His support was instrumental in our recent re-election victory, a mandate we hold sacred as we continue delivering the dividends of democracy to the people of AMAC,” Maikalangu stated.
He further called on all residents to remain steadfast in their prayers for the Minister, noting that the “infrastructure revolution” currently witnessed across the FCT is a testament to the Minister’s vision and dedication.
The AMAC Boss also expressed deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) for his wisdom in appointing Barr. Nyesom Wike to lead the FCT.
“We thank Mr. President for giving the people of the FCT a performer like Minister Wike.
“Wike’s appointment as the FCT Minister has bridged the gap between the government and the grassroots; we are seeing the Renewed Hope Agenda in action through every road paved and every project completed.”
The AMAC Chairman reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, promising that his second term will focus heavily on complementing the FCT Minister’s efforts within the rural communities of AMAC.
“Let us celebrate in peace and continue to pray for the prosperity of our dear Council, the FCT, and Nigeria at large. Barka da Sallah!”
