NDC Launches Digital Membership Registration Portal

todayMarch 16, 2026

Background

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has formally launched a digital membership registration portal in Abuja, a move aimed at modernising party operations, promoting transparency, and expanding political participation across the country.

At the unveiling, Senator Seriake Dickson described the introduction of the digital platform as a significant step in strengthening the party’s organisational structure and ensuring wider participation among Nigerians both at home and abroad.

He said the platform allows citizens to register as members from any location while ensuring proper documentation and efficient management of membership records.

He thanked Nigerians for their support since the party’s emergence and noted that, although still a new political movement, the NDC has already attracted attention nationwide.

“We are a national party. We are a pan-Nigerian democratic movement. We are not a regional movement,” he said.

To ensure inclusiveness, the digital registration will be complemented by manual forms for citizens in rural communities with limited access to digital tools. These forms will be distributed through state, local government, and ward officials.

Senator Dickson expressed confidence that the party would meet its registration goals, noting that party officials have been mobilised to support the process and assist interested Nigerians.

He also highlighted growing public dissatisfaction with the current political status quo, positioning the NDC as a credible platform for change.

“The NDC is available as the tool for effecting the change Nigerians want,” he said, drawing a biblical analogy to Noah’s Ark to encourage early engagement with the party.

Also speaking, the National Chairman of the party, Senator Cleopas Moses emphasised that the digital portal would enhance transparency, accountability, and inclusiveness while expanding grassroots mobilisation.

He noted that the platform would strengthen the party’s membership base in preparation for future political engagements.

The unveiling ceremony was led by the National Leader of the party, Henry Seriake Dickson, alongside the National Chairman, Cleopas Moses, National Secretary Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, state chairmen, and other party officials.
