More Dividends Of Democracy For AMAC Residents -Maikalangu

The Chairman, Abuja Municipal Area Council AMAC, has restated more commitment to people centered infrastructural development to meet the aspirations and yeanings of the people exepecially those at the grassroots.

Maikalangu, who made the call during a visit by the members of the (AMAC) Press Corps under the leadership of Comrade, Wisdom Acka said more People’oriented projects are underway to further deliver on his second term campaign promises.

The AMAC Boss reiterated commitment towards improving the living standard of residents and the downtrodden through rural electrification, infrastructural development especially in public schools, provision of potable water, road construction, health care delivery and empowerment Initiatives ranging from scholarship awards and skills acquisition program’s among others.

“I want to use this opportunity to appreciate all residents of AMAC for the confidence vested in me for re-election and that i will never take for granted because it’s a clear indication that true democracy, built on trust and transparency has returned to our electoral process.”

“What people don’t understand is that local government election is a local affair that has do with your relationship with your people especially at the grassroots, know their problems and make concerted efforts to tackle such challenges because my people are not concerned about people speaking big grammar but, visible devidents of democracy delivered to them.”

“I hereby welcome with an open arm those who contested the election against me to come and join hands with me to build a bigger, stronger AMAC in the interest of all irrespective of party affiliations.”

“And for the committee set up o investigate illegal demolition in AMAC, they have come up with their findings and have already forwarded to my principal, the Honourable Minister of FCT, Dr Nyesom Wike for appropriate action.”

“Once more i appreciate the Minister of FCT, Dr Nyesom Wike for his pivotal role in ensuring a transparent and credible poll, the media for their effective coverage and reportage, market men, women, artisans for their support and mandates.”

On his part, the Vice Chairman elect, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) Hon. Yusuf Nadabo Mohammed commended all residents of the Council who came out enmass to exercise their franchise, hence he reassured them of more dividends of democracy in the Maikalangu led-administration.

“In the history of AMAC election this is the most transparent, credible election being a true testament that the people are beginning to get convinced on what they see rather than empty promises by unpatriotic politicians and we shall never relent on delivering more dividends of democracy, Nadabo added.”
