The First Lady of Kogi State, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has called on the citizens to come together and fully embrace the spiritual significance of the Ramadan fast and the Lenten season to drive the overall development of the state.
In a goodwill message to Muslims and Christians, she highlighted the importance of reflecting on key values such as devotion, sacrifice, discipline, and compassion.
Hajia Ododo noted that enhancing these values would strengthen unity, promote social cohesion, and support sustainable development in Kogi.
She pointed out the coinciding of the two fasting periods as a significant occurrence, encouraging both Muslims and Christians to dedicate themselves to spiritual practices and earnest prayers for Kogi’s progress.
The First Lady who reiterated her continued commitment to assist girls, women, the elderly, and other vulnerable populations, assured residents that her office remains accessible to those seeking help.
Additionally, she urged citizens to prioritize their well-being, closely supervise their children, and stay alert to security issues, as the government works to eliminate criminal activities that threaten peace in parts of the State.
Hajia Sefinat Ododo also congratulated residents on the start of the fasting seasons, encouraging them to be compassionate and offer support to those in need within their communities.
