Niger Governor’s Wife Moves To Strengthen Women’s Leadership Capacity In Governance

The Wife of the Niger State Governor, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago, has stressed the need for discipline among women in politics.

She made the call in Minna during a seminar on leadership, etiquette, protocol, and information management for women in political office, organized by her office in collaboration with the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

Hajiya Fatima Bago who said the seminar was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen women’s leadership capacity and participation in governance, urged female political office holders to discharge their duties professionally and with dignity.

Speaking during the event, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Hadiza Idris Kuta, advised women in leadership to continue to equip themselves with knowledge required for effective public service.

Papers were presented at the seminar on leadership, etiquette, and information management.

Female political office holders, female commissioners, wives of commissioners, female APC executives, female director-generals, and other stakeholders participated in the seminar.
