QEI Donates 5 Wheelchairs To Kogi Specialist Hospital

Background

In continuation of its humanitarian intervention to ease the suffering of the vulnerable groups, the Ohunene Empowerment Initiative (OEI) has donated five wheelchairs to the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Lokoja and another seven wheelchairs and cash to some selected Patients in the facility.

During the presentation, the founder of OEI and the wife of the Kogi State Governor, Hajiya Sefinat Usman Ododo, stated that the initiative aims to enhance healthcare access for vulnerable individuals and improve patient’s mobility within the hospital.

Represented by the wife of the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Princess Karimat Abdullahi, Mrs. Ododo highlighted the need for inclusive support to help vulnerable persons live dignified and productive lives.

She assured that the Ohunene Empowerment Initiative is committed to carrying out other humanitarian efforts to assist those in need throughout the State.

In response, the Acting Chief Medical Director of the Kogi State Specialist Hospital, Doctor Oluseyi Bamidele Folagbade, expressed gratitude to the Governor’s wife for what he described as a timely and commendable act.

He affirmed that the wheelchairs would greatly improve mobility for patients and pledged their proper use and maintenance.

Doctor Folagbade also reiterated the hospital’s dedication to providing quality medical care to patients and residents.

Some of the beneficiaries commended OEI for the donation and offered prayers for the continued success for the First Lady, her family, and the Ododo-led administration.
