FCT: Aguma Of Gwagwalada Turbans District, Village Heads, Task Them On Patriotism

Background

Mr Stephen Bawa has been turbaned as the District Head of Old Kutunku in Gwagwalada Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory

Alhaji Muhammadu Sarki has also been turbaned as the Village Head of Old Kutunku alongside Mallam Musa Dantani as the Dakachi of Gede in Gwagwalada.

On the occasion in Gwagwalada Abuja, the Aguma Of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji advised them to always be fair and just to all people irrespective of tribe, religion and political differences.

Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji said the advice became necessary to sustain the peace and unity being enjoyed in the area and to ensure the progress and development of Gwagwalada and its environs.

The Traditional Ruler who described peaceful coexistence as key to the development of any society warned that the Government would not hesitate to sanction any District or Village Head who misbehaved in the area.

Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji therefore urged District and Village Heads in Gwagwalada to always contribute their quota to the peace and development of the area.

In a remark, the District Head of Old Kutunku, Mr Stephen Bawa thanked the Aguma Of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji for the honour of turbaning him as the District Head of Old Kutunku.

Mr Stephen Bawa therefore promised not to betray the confidence reposed in him by the Aguma Of Gwagwalada and the entire people of the community.

The District Head of Old Kutunku said he would not relent to contribute his wealth of experience towards attracting developmental projects to the community.

While soliciting the support of.people in Old Kutunku, Mr Stephen Bawa pledged to carry everyone along in the day to day running of the community.

In their separate remarks, the Village Head of Old Kutunku, Alhaji Muhammadu Sarki and the Dakachi of Gede, Mallam Musa Dantani also thanked the Aguma Of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji for recognizing them to lead their people.

They promised to continue to contribute their quota to the betterment of their communities.

Also speaking, the Mai Angwar, Old Kutunku, Keida Road, Phase II, Gwagwalada Abuja, Chief Bitrus Mohammed Baba congratulated Mr Stephen Bawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Sarki and Mallam Musa Dantani on their turbaning as the new District and Village Heads of their Communities in Gwagwalada Abuja.

Chief Bitrus Mohammed Baba therefore advised them to be committed to the yearnings and aspirations of their people towards ensuring sustainable peace and development of their communities.

The Mai Angwar Old Kutunku, Keida Road who thanked the Aguma Of Gwagwalada for the turbaning used the opportunity to appeal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Dr Nyesom Wike to consider the reconstruction of dilapidated major roads in Keida community towards alleviating the plights and improve the socioeconomic wellbeing of people of the area.

While calling on the people of Old Kutunku to support their new District and Village Heads, Chief Bitrus Baba noted that the task of ensuring the progress and development of any Community required the collaboration and support of District and Village Heads.
