In a goodwill message to mark the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day AFCRD, General Oluyede said the occasion offers Nigerians an opportunity to reflect on the courage and patriotism of military men and women who laid down their lives in defence of the country.
He commended troops currently deployed across various theatres of operation for their professionalism, resilience and dedication, assuring them of the military’s unwavering resolve to confront all threats to national security, both within and beyond Nigeria’s borders.
The CDS emphasized that troop’s welfare remains a priority, anchored on enhanced joint operations, sound administration and collaboration with other security agencies under a whole-of-government approach.
General Oluyede expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, for his leadership and continued support to the military, while also acknowledging the sacrifices of military families.
