Anambra 2025 : Security Tightened Ahead Of Saturday Polls

All roads leading to the INEC office in Awka, the Anambra state capital have been blocked.

Correspondent Kayode Oyedare who is in Awka to monitor the election said Armed security personnel were stationed at strategic locations to secure the environment and ensure that only vehicles with election duty tags were allowed entrance into the INEC premises.

Security personnel were also seen conducting thorough checks to ensure that only accredited people gain access to the INEC state office in Awka.

Officials of ICPC were also sighted inside the INEC office receiving briefing from the leading officer.

ICPC during the signing of Accord with leadership of political parties early this week said it will fully monitor and check financial inducement in tomorrow’s Governorship election..

On Thursday, INEC had distributed all sensitive materials and deployed them to registration centers across the 21 local government areas of the state.
