Parents Urged To Encourage Entrepreneurship Skills Devt In Children

Miss Jessie James -Wakili, a Primary Five pupil has marked her 10 years birthday anniversary.

The celebration which attracted her classmates, friends, family members featured ‘Sip and Paint’ for some of her classmates and friends.

Speaking during the occasion in Lugbe Abuja, a Teacher with Government Secondary School, Lugbe Abuja, Mr Samuel Asom commended the Celebrant and her parents for organizing the artistic painting to mark the birthday celebration.

Mr Samuel Asom who said the artistic painting would go a long way in motivating other children to develop interest in arts advised parents to encourage their children in entrepreneurship skills towards becoming self reliant and employers of labour after graduating from schools.

He also stressed the need for operators of educational institutions most especially primary and secondary schools to embrace vocational and skills acquisition in their curriculum towards empowering their students for the future

Some of the Celebrant’s classmates and friends, Queen, Abubakar and Ziora who took part in the Sip and Paint described the innovation as a welcomed development saying the exercise has further broadened their knowledge in the field of arts.

They therefore advised other parents to always include educational programmes in their children’s birthday anniversary programmes to enhance educational development in the country.

Also speaking, the Parents of the Celebrant, Mr & Mrs James Wakili expressed gratitude to God for the life of their daughter and for granting her the grace to celebrate her 10th birthday anniversary.

Mr & Mrs James Wakili said the artistic painting was introduced in the birthday programme to further encourage other children to pick interest in artistic work.

While wishing Jessie long life and prosperity, the Parents prayed God to see her through her endeavours and grant her divine success in her future career.

In her vote of thanks, Miss Jessie promised to organize more Sip and Paint for her classmates and friends towards promoting Nigeria’s Artistc Industry.
