Osimhen Bags Brace In Galatasaray Champions League Victory

Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen bagged a brace as Turkish giants Galatasaray defeated Norwegian side, Bodø/Glimt 3-1 at Rams Park stadium in the UEFA champions League on Wednesday.

Osimhen whose hat-trick helped carried Nigeria senior men’s national team, Super Eagles to the 2026 World Cup qualifier playoffs continued his fine scoring form to his club side.

The 26 year old wasted no time to put the home side ahead just three minutes into play with a precise right-footed strike from inside the penalty area when a pass from Gabonese midfielder Mario Lemina found the Nigeria.

Osimhen doubled Galatasaray lead in the 33rd minute with a composed finish from inside the penalty area using his left foot.

The home side added their advantage through Yunus Akgun from inside the penalty area. Bodø/Glimt however pulled one back when Andreas Helmersen header.

He was then subbed in the 72 minute off for Mauro Icardi.

The goal brings Osimhen tally to 3 in the 2025-26 UEFA champions League. Overall the Nigerian striker has now scored 9 goals in his last 7 European games for two against Tottenham, AZ Alkmaar, one against Dynamo Kyiv, Ajax, Liverpool and a brace against Bodø/Glimt.
