Cleric Urges Nigs To Be Patient, Pray For Leaders

todayOctober 1, 2025

Background

As the nation clocks 65 years, Nigerians have been urged to be more patient and pray for the country’s leadership as they navigate the complex task of governance.

Senior Pastor of the Help From Above Healing And Deliverance Ministries Worldwide, Dr. Godwin Ube made the plea during a thanksgiving Service to mark his birthday in Abuja.

Dr. Ube who praised the present government’s efforts so far, acknowledged the challenges involved in managing a nation.

Running a government is not an easy task. There are many obstacles and opposition forces, but it is this very opposition that keeps leaders alert and accountable,” he stated.

According to him, the present administration is making commendable progress despite facing resistance and criticism from various quarters.

They are doing very well. What we need now is not just criticism but collective support through patience and constant prayers. Even the holy books instruct us to pray for those in authority,” Dr. added.

He explained that security remains a pressing issue, with the reminder that no country in the world is entirely free from security challenges.

Dr. Ube encouraged Nigerians to remain hopeful, engaged, and prayerful for peace and progress in the nation.

In his presentation, a friend of the celebrant, Ambassador Dalhatu Hammawa Dauda, expressed deep appreciation to God for the life and impact of Dr. Ube applauding his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the less privileged.

Ambassador Dauda noted that such compassionate service aligns perfectly with the core values and corporate social responsibility (CSR) focus of his companies, which prioritizes giving back to the community and uplifting the underprivileged

He encouraged others in positions of influence to emulate the clergy’s example in advancing the collective good of society.

On her part, the wife of the celebrant, Mrs. Precious Ube, expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for the privilege of being connected to him, describing the relationship as a divine blessing.

Mrs Ube, who acknowledged God’s faithfulness and the unique opportunity to support her husband’s ministry, also offered prayers, asking God for increased grace and a renewed passion for kingdom work.

The event was marked by thanksgiving, prayers, cutting of cake, and distribution of rice to the less privileged.
