Annual Baptist Royal Ambassadors’ Conference Opens In FCT

The Royal Ambassadors, R A under the auspices of Men’s Missionary Union, MMU, of FCT Baptist Conference will today begin their 10th Annual Camp and 1st Jamboree in Abuja.

The 10th Annual Camp, which will be holding at First Baptist Church, Kuje Abuja has as its theme “Higher Ground”.

The conference will feature theme exposition, bible study and a quiz competition, parade competition, sports, award presentation, and anniversary celebration, among others.

Text for the event which will be taken from the book of Revelation chapter 4 verse 11:12 is to further encourage the Royal Ambassadors on the need to attain higher ground through God’s injunction and in accordance to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Royal Ambassador members from all Baptist Churches in the Federal Capital Territory and Nasarawa State are expected to participate in the conference which will come to a close on Sunday.

In a message to the conference, the Minister in charge of First Baptist Church, Gwagwalada Abuja, Reverend Deji Oyelami Admonished all Royal Ambassador members to imbibe the lessons of the event towards attaining higher ground in their lives.

Reverend Deji Oyelami, who wished them a blessed and successful conference, stressed the need for christian youths to always be Ambassadors of Christ wherever they found themselves.

While urging them to shun acts detrimental to the essence of the conference, the Baptist Clergyman enjoined parents and members of Men Missionary Union, MMU, in the FCT Baptist Conference to effectively contribute to the success of the conference.
