FRSC Alerts Nigerians On Collapsed Bridge Along Katsina-Batsari Road

The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC has alerted the motoring public of the collapse of a bridge along the Katsina–Batsari route, a few meters after a filling Station, near Shagari Lowcost, following a heavy downpour on the night of Saturday, 9th August 2025.

Following an on the spot assessment by the Sector Commander, Maxwell Lede, on Sunday, 10th August 2025, the affected section has been temporarily closed to traffic, and the area has been cordoned off from both ends by FRSC personnel to safeguard road users.

As a result, alternative routes have been provided as follows:
From Katsina to Batsari: Use Ring Road via Al-Qalam University.
From Batsari to Katsina: Use the Army Barracks–Jibia Road to reconnect.

Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the collapsed bridge site to prevent road crashes, especially during late evening hours or in rainy conditions when visibility is poor.
