Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere -Ekun, has commiserated with family of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, who passed away yesterday.
This is contained in a statement personally signed by the CJN in Abuja.
The statement describes the late former president as a statesman who served his country, first as military Head of State between 1984 and 1985, then later as a democratically elected President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 2015 to 2023;
Justice Kekere Ekun says President Buhari’s life was defined by duty, discipline, and a remarkable consistency of purpose and unwavering commitment to the Nigerian project, despite personal and political setbacks.
While praying for the repose of his soul, the statement urges all Nigerians to reflect on the former leader’s legacy and draw inspiration from his dedication to national development.
