The government of the Netherlands has pledged continued support for technology-driven solutions aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s border control systems and enhancing migration management.
Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Kemi Nandap, disclosed this when she received a Dutch delegation led by the Chargé D’Affaires of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Nigeria, Mr. Jurgen Bartelink.
According to Mrs Nandap, the visit was to enhance bilateral collaboration on migration management, review ongoing capacity building efforts and formalise the handover of Critical operational resources including the Edison Software license keys and the Passport Examination Programme Manual, PEPM III App to the Nigeria Immigration Service.
Mrs Kemi Nandap expressed appreciation to the government of Netherlands for its consistent support and technical assistance noting that the PEPM III App and the Edison software tools would enhance the Service’s document verification and border management capabilities.

The Charge D’ Affaires of the Embassy of the Netherlands, Mr Jurgen Bartelink reaffirmed his country’s commitment to support Nigeria’s ongoing reform in migration governance and border security.
He lauded the long-standing partnership between both countries and emphasised the importance of sustained cooperation in addressing global migration challenges.
