Federal College Of Complementary And Alternative Medicine Under Investigation By Reps

The House of Representatives is investigation Federal College of Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Abuja, which has been closed since 2010 but continues to receive public funds.

The probe aims to uncover alleged financial misconduct and unauthorized disbursement of funds.

Chairman of the committee of the committee on Specialty healthcare, Alex Egbona, said the inquiry was triggered by a motion passed in May, amid concerns over the institution’s non-functional status despite receiving hundreds of millions of naira.

According to him, the committee has received petitions alleging misconduct by ministry officials and former college management.
