NILOWV Appreciates Tinubu For Championing The Cause Of Children

The League of Women Voters of Nigeria (NILOWV) extends deep appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for championing the cause of children through the launching of the National Plan of Action for violence against Children 2024-2030 with unwavering determination.

Today, we witness a defining moment in our nation’s history. A moment that acknowledges the pain and suffering of our children. A moment that boldly declares that our children’s safety, dignity, and future must never be
compromised.

The National Plan of Action for Violence against Children 2024- is what we need to combat violence against children, a promise, much more than a
policy. This promise that no child in Nigeria will be left to endure fear, neglect, or
harm in silence.

This initiative is a testament to the power of leadership that listens, understands, and acts with urgency. Every statistic on violence against children represents real lives—innocent souls who have faced trauma no child should ever know. But today, we turn the tide.
To every child who has suffered in darkness, we say: You are seen. You are heard. You matter. And to every mother, father, teacher, and guardian, we say:

The time to protect, uplift, and empower our children is now. This National Plan of Action is a call to every Nigerian to stand together, to ensure that the next generation grows in a country where love replaces fear, where protection replaces vulnerability, and where justice replaces suffering.
NILOWV pledges to be at the forefront of this movement. We will advocate, we will educate, and we will ensure that these commitments become reality in every community, every school, and every home.
