Speaker Rejoices With Owoade On Coronation As 46th Alaafin Of Oyo

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen has congratulated Oba Akeem Owoade on his coronation as the 46th Alaafin of Oyo.

In his Congratulatory message, Dr Abbas urges the monarch to use his position to unite the people, emphasizing the significance of the Alaafin in Yorubaland and his influence on the community.

He encourages Oba Owoade to promote unity among the Oyo people and the Yoruba nation as a whole.

The Speaker also reaffirmed his commitment to empowering traditional rulers with constitutional roles, recognizing their importance in the African society.

The Speaker wishes Oba Owoade a successful reign and prayed for peace in his kingdom.

Oba Owoade succeeded the late Alaafin, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, who passed away in April 2022.
