NAWOJ Felicitates With Magashi Over Appointment As Chairman NMA Committee

The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists has congratulated
Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba on his recent appointment as the Chairman of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) National Committee on Health Policy and Planning.

In a statement, the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Comrade Bassey Ita Ikpang described Dr Garba’s appointment as a true reflection of his dedication to improving healthcare delivery in Nigeria and his longstanding commitment to health advocacy across Africa.

She said Dr Garba’s leadership and track record, especially as the founder of the Africa Health Budget Network, AHBN has earned him immense respect within the healthcare sector and beyond.

Ikpang added that his pledge to develop and implement a new 5-year strategic plan for the NMA is a commendable step that will positively shape healthcare delivery in the country.

“Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his tireless efforts in strengthening health policy and planning in Nigeria.”

“We are confident that his visionary leadership will bring about transformative changes that will benefit the entire healthcare system, particularly for marginalized and underserved communities.”

“NAWOJ FCT is particularly encouraged by Dr. Garba’s inclusive approach to healthcare reforms, which aligns with our shared vision of advocating for equitable healthcare for all Nigerians, especially vulnerable groups such as women, children, and persons with disabilities.”
