State Of Emergency Best Option For Rivers Crisis – Okeocha

The Chairman, Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, Chief Tony Okeocha has described the state of emergency declared in Rivers State by President Ahmed Tinubu as the best option to save lives and property of the people.

According to the APC Chairman, the situation in the state was turning into anarchy hence the intervention by the Federal Government to bring it under control.

He commended the leadership of the party for supporting the decision, which brought peace in the state.

Chief Okeocha noted that on or before the six months the President would have explored the best options to govern the State in line with the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He called on the Rivers State people to continue to be law abiding and go about their normal businesses without fear as Mr President is on top of the situation.
