Member representing Andoni-Opobo/Nkoro Federal constituency in Rivers State Inombek Abiante has called on Nigerians to stand against oppression, regardless of their biases.
He made this appeal during a meeting with the FCT Traditional Council in Abuja, where he emphasized the importance of speaking out against injustice.
Abiante’s call to action was in response to comments made by his colleague, Jonathan Gwefwi, representing
Karu/Keffi/Kokona in Nasarawa state
who criticized the displacement of indigenous communities in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, under the guise of resettlement.
Abiante highlighted the failures of past resettlement programs and urged traditional rulers to protect their communities’ interests, warning that silence in the face of injustice could have far-reaching consequences.
