President Bola Tinubu has submitted the Tax Reform Bills to the House of Representatives, aligning with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

In a letter to the House read by the Speaker, Dr Abbas Tajudeen, on the floor of the house, President Tinubu solicited expedited consideration of the bills, citing substantial benefits for fiscal reform, taxpayer compliance, and socio-economic development.

According to him, the proposed Tax Reform Bills presents substantial benefits aligned with his government’s objectives, enhancing taxpayer compliance, strengthening institutions, and fostering a more effective fiscal regime.

He noted that if passed into law, the bills will encourage investment in Nigeria.

The bills include the Nigeria Tax Bill, Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board Establishment Bill.
