The Federal Road Safely Corps, FRSC wants its Unit and Outpost commanders across the country to embrace technological innovations such as the newly introduced Mobile App and National Crash Information Recording System to strengthen traffic management in the country .
Corps Marshal Mallam Shehu Mohammed while declaring open a comprehensive capacity building program for 341 unit and Outpost Commanders across the country at Udi, Enugu State said the training focuses on traffic enforcement and road safety education as well as digital literacy and technology adoption.
Represented by the Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Operations, Hyginus Omeje, the FRSC Corps Marshal said the training was part of a series of leadership development programs aimed at enforcing compliance of traffic rules and regulations.
According to the FRSC Boss, the Unit and Outpost commanders are considered invaluable assets for creating an enabling environment that fosters growth and development.
“The capacity building program aims to empower staff with the latest skills, knowledge and best practices in road safety administration”.
Mallam Shehu Mohammed reassured that the Corps under his leadship would do everything possible to compliment the federal government’s huge investment in road rehabilitation and construction for economic growth.
