President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Mr. Michael Hadi Ango, as the Acting Chairman of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service, FCT-IRS.
The new Chairman, who is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the International Association of Privacy Professionals, is from Kebbi State.
The Statement says Ango will bring his wealth of experience and a proven track record in revenue administration, financial management, and organizational leadership.
The statement adds that the new Chairman has over 20 years of service in the public and private sector, where he demonstrated his commitment to excellence and innovation in revenue collection and management.
Ango, who holds an LLM degree from the Columbia University School of Law New York in 2019 and a Bachelor of Law degree from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, in 2002, attended the Nigeria Law School in 2003 and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government’s Executive Education in Comparative Tax Policy and Administration Programme in 2013.
Ango was also Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Guinness Nigeria PLC; Technical Advisor and Head, Technical Team to CEO of Federal Inland Revenue Service; and Analyst to Manager, Tax, Regulatory, and People Services, KPMG Professional Services, Nigeria.
