All commercial banks in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT are under lock and key with the fear that the nationwide protest might take a new dimension today.
Correspondent Mathew Ayoola reports that hundreds of customers who were at the bank for transactions this morning were visibly disappointed over the situation despite yesterday’s presidential broadcast on the nationwide protest.
According to him, most Government official buses that usually convey civil servants residing in the area to their offices in the city centre also stayed off the road due to fear of the unknown.
Meanwhile, residents of the area are moving freely without any protest as at the time of filing in this report.
Shop owners, traders and okada riders are equally carrying out their normal activities while law enforcement officers are on ground to maintain law and order in the area.
