Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen has congratulated Nigeria’s female basketball team, D’Tigress, on their qualification for the quarterfinals of the Women’s Basketball competition at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France.
In a statement released by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Abdullahi Krishi, the Speaker commends the team for making history as the first African team to reach the quarterfinals at the Olympics.
He expresses delight at their performance, stating that they have been making the nation proud.
Dr. Abbas assures the D’Tigress and the entire Nigerian contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics of the House of Representatives’ support.
He urges the team and other Nigerian athletes to remain focused and determined to win medals for the country.
