NCPC Boss Wants Religious Leaders To Promote Peace, Tolerance

The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christain Pilgrim Commission, NCPC Bishop Stephen Adegbite has called on Religious Leaders not to relent in promoting religious tolerance for peace to reign in the country.

Addressing News men on the activities of the commission in the last One year, Bishop Adegbite said his visit to the National Hajj Commission was for the two religious agencies to work together to Champion religious harmony .

He stressed that the two major religions have everything in common as they all believe in God Almighty and the Holy Books, hence the need to come together and foster unity in the country.

Bishop Adegbite reiterated the commitment of NCPC in propagating the gospel of Love, peace and Unity for national development.

On the ongoing 2024 pilgrimage, the NCPC boss said the exercise would continue until after Easter to allow all intending Pilgrims for the year to participate.

Bishop Adegbite reaffirmed the commission’s Zero Tolerance to abscondment warning that anyone nursing the ambition of running away during the pilgrimage to have a change of mind.

He stressed that the commission was working with the Israeli authority to enable the two nations benefit optimally during the annual Holy Exercise.

He commended President Bola Tinubu for his support which enhanced operations of the NCPC in the last one year.

He however solicited more support from NCPC staff in taking the agency to greater heights.

The commission unveiled a One hundred and twenty-five Page magazine highlighting Programs and achievements of NCPC in the last twelve months.
