Barrister Kamorudeen Ogunlana has officially assumed duty as the ninth Clerk to the National Assembly, CNA, succeeding Mr. Sani Magaji Tambuwal.
In his remarks during the handover ceremony, held at the National Assembly complex in Abuja, Ogunlana commended Tambuwal’s leadership, highlighting his successful tenure and reputation.
Ogunlana expressed his commitment to building on the progress made during Tambuwal’s tenure and work tirelessly to promote the Legislative agenda of the nation.
He outlined his agenda, pledging to democratize decision-making and promote harmony among the management to advance the nation’s interest and uphold the integrity of the national Assembly.
While formally handing over the National Assembly documents to the incoming CNA, Mr Sani Magaji Tambuwal expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve as clerk, describing his tenure as a privilege to work with lawmakers, staff and management to advance the legislative agenda of the nation.
He congratulated Ogunlana on his appointment, expressing confidence that he would excel in the role and build on the progress made during his tenure.
The outgoing Clerk also thanked everyone who supported him during his tenure, acknowledging the hard work, dedication, and cooperation of the staff and management.
