Kenyan Authority is seeking technical support of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC to reduce road accidents and enhance its traffic management system.

The Kenyan High Commissioner to Nigeria, Mr Isaac Parashina stated this when he paid a visit to the FRSC Corps Marshal, Mallam Shehu Mohammed in Abuja.

Mr Parashina showered encomium on FRSC for efficient deployment of technology in achieving its corporate mandate of eradicating road crashes and making the highways safe.

According to the High Commissioner, the Kenyan Road Traffic Management Authority will always be open to learning from FRSC’S initiatives towards ensuring effective traffic management.

“We just need to cross our imaginary boundaries and learn from each other while establishing strong collaborations, including the area of capacity building.”

He emphasised that road safety guarantees not only human lives but also plays a cardinal role in guaranteeing the protection of property from crash related damages and destructions.

Responding, the Corps Marshal Mallam Shehu Mohammed appreciated him for the visit, stating that the Corps is also open to learning at all times as there are still things that the Corps could learn from the Kenyan Authority.

He explained that the Corps was presently witnessing a massive rebirth and repositioning on all fronts, most especially in the areas of training and human development as well as in operations.

Corps Marshal Shehu welcomed the proposition of the High Commissioner for a partnership and fruitful collaborations, assuring that the Corps operates an open door policy, as such, will welcome all forms of partnership that aligns with its statutory mandate.
