The Executive Secretary, Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has called on Youths to avoid being used to disrupt peace and developmental programs of the present administration.
Addressing Journalists in Abuja on the planned August 1 Nationwide protest, Bishop Adegbite reminded planners of the protest on the consequences of previous protests in the country which resulted in loss of lives and destruction of government property .
Bishop Adegbite stressed that history has revealed that previous protests were hijacked by hoodlums with the effects still fresh in the minds of citizens.
He said the current global economic challenges were not only biting hard on Nigerians, hence the need to embrace dialogue and avoid activities that could lead to anarchy.
The NCPC Boss noted that President Bola Tinubu has initiated new policies and programs, which when matured would bring transformation and alleviate the plight of Nigerians.
According to him, President Bola Tinubu has listened to the demands of youths and the government is attending to their Requests.
The Cleric therefore appealed to Nigerians irrespective of their religious and ethnic background to promote peace and play their part to move the country forward.
