National Protest: ACCI Wants Business Community To Be Vigilant

President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ACCI, Chief Emeka Obegolu has called on the business community in the Federal Capital Territory to be vigilant and adhere strictly to the law.

In a statement in Abuja, Chief Obegolu said as the leading voice of the organized private sector in the FCT, ACCI is committed to closely monitoring the situation and providing daily advisories to ensure the safety and security of businesses and investments.

“We urge all members of the business community to remain vigilant and law-abiding during this period. It is crucial to stay informed and prepared to ensure the safety of your establishments, employees, and customers”, he stated.

The ACCI President noted that the Chamber is dedicated to supporting its members and would publish daily advisories to provide timely updates and guidance while also calling upon the police and other security agencies to take all necessary measures to protect businesses and investments in the FCT.

Chief Obegolu, underscored the importance of maintaining peace and order, highlighting the sanctity of human life and the need to safeguard lives and property.

“The protection of human life is paramount. We urge all parties to prioritise the safety and well-being of individuals and communities. The ACCI stands ready to collaborate with security agencies to ensure a peaceful environment where businesses can thrive”, he stressed.

In his words, “the ACCI remains committed to its role as a leader in the organized private sector, providing support and advocacy for businesses in the FCT. The Chamber will continue to work closely with relevant authorities to ensure the security and stability of the business environment during these challenging times. ”
