Ministry Of Special Duties Certified 667 Projects Nationwide

The Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mr Zaphaniah Bitrus Jisalo says the Ministry has verified and certified 667 constituency projects across the country.

Mr Jisalo made this known in Abuja while addressing newsmen on the activities of the Ministry in the last nine months.

According to him, it is the constitutional mandate of the Ministry to verify, certify and recommend for payment of all people oriented projects carried out by Members of National Assembly towards improving the living standard of Nigerians.

He stated that the projects verified and certified by the Ministry in the last nine months ranges from boreholes, health and maternity centres, schools among others.

Mr Jisalo explained that the essence is to achieve the renewed hope agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s led administration for Nigerians.

The Minister therefore solicited the support of all citizens to the present administration towards repositioning the country for greatness.

On Local Government Autonomy, the Minister said the Ministry would henceforth publish the funds that would be released to Local Government Areas by the Federal Government towards ensuring transparency and accountability in Government’s business.

He emphasized that the autonomy would enable the third tier of government to have enough funds needed for projects that would improve the wellbeing of rural dwellers to enhance national economic development.

He used the opportunity to once again appeal to Nigerians to shelve the planned national protest and have confidence in the ability of President Bola Tinubu to develop the country.

Mr Jisalo expressed the hope that Nigeria would soon overcome its challenges and take its rightful place among comity of nations.
