The House of Representatives committee on Public Petitions has summoned, the CEO of FGlobal Properties Limited, Ifeanyi Emenike, to appear before it on January 30 to response to allegations of land grabbing and sponsorship of violence in Rumueme, Port Harcourt.
According to the petition filed by Collins Adele on behalf of 23 allottees of a federal government land scheme, Emenike allegedly sent thugs to prevent them from developing their allocated lands.
Adele explained that the thugs, armed with guns and other dangerous weapons, threatened to kill anyone who tried to work on the land.
Issuing the summon, the committee, chaired by Mike Etaba, warned Emenike that failure to appear on the invited date may result in the case being determined in his absence.
Emenike is expected to explain his side of the story regarding the allegations.
