Okebukola Dismisses JAMB Budget Allegations, Supports Registrar

Chairman of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, Equal Opportunity Group, JEOG has come out in strong support of the JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq Oloyede, amid allegations surrounding the organization’s 2025 budget.

In a statement in Abuja, Prof Peter Okebukola described Prof Oloyede as a “showpiece for accountability and transparency” in Africa, citing his commitment to financial integrity and administrative excellence.

He dismisses the allegations surrounding the organization’s 2025 budget as baseless, referencing a press release from JAMB’s Public Affairs Officer, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, which clarifies that the accusations were “totally unfounded and based on misinformation.

According to him, Under Oloyede’s leadership, JAMB has upheld high standards of financial integrity, becoming a model for transparency and accountability in public institutions across Africa.

Prof Okebukola notes that he worked with Oloyede for seven years in his role as JEOG Chairman praising the Registrar’s meticulous approach to budgeting and financial management, ensuring that every naira is accounted for and expenditures are judiciously planned and executed.

The statement by the Former Executive Secretary of the National University Commission, NUC reads:, “as the Chairman of the JAMB Equal Opportunity Group (JEOG), a position I have held with pride and dedication for the past seven years, I thought it fit to address the allegations relating to the 2025 budget of JAMB where Professor Is-haq Oloyede serves as Registrar.”
