Edo, Ondo Guber : INEC Accredits 134 Groups As Observers

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has accredited One Hundred and Thirty Four (134) Groups to serve as Observers in the forthcoming Governorship Elections in Edo and Ondo States scheduled for September and November 2024.

The Chairman, Information and Voter Education Committee, IVEC, Mr. Sam Olumekun who stated this in Abuja
explained that 134 Observer Groups out of 153 applications received from interested Organizations by the Commission were accredited for the Elections after meeting the requirements for the accreditation.

The IVEC Chairman added that out of the 134 Observer Groups accredited, 124 are domestic organisations while the Commission also approved 10 foreign Observer Groups.

He maintained that the commission would organize a One-Day Training Session for representatives of the Observer Groups where access codes to the portal and letters of accreditation would be presented to them.
