Former Women Affairs Minister Congratulates Ike As 1st Female NUJ Chairman

Former Minister of Women Affairs, Dame Pauline Tallen
has congratulated Comrade Grace Ike on her historic election as the first female chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council.

This milestone achievement comes after 43 years since the council’s establishment.

Tallen, who received Comrade Ike during a courtesy call in her residence in Abuja, noted that Ike’s election marked a significant step forward for women in journalism.

While presenting Ike with a Christmas Souvenir, Tallen wished her success and outstanding performance in moving the Council and its members forward.

Earlier, Ike who was accompanied by the treasurer, Comrade Sandra Udeike briefed Tallen on her team’s determination to elevate the council’s status by prioritizing members welfare, promoting the union’s image, and seeking guidance and support.
