todayJune 16, 2024

Background

Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaib Abubakar Audu has reiterated his commitment to revamp the steel Sector in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

This is contained in his Eid-el-Kabir message signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji, in Abuja.

The statement explains that resuscitation of the sector is geared at growing the economy to over $1 trillion by 2031 as well as creating millions of jobs for Nigerians, especially youths, thus making Nigeria a global investment destination, among other initiatives.

The statement also felicitates with the Muslim Ummah as they join the rest of the world to commemorate the 2024 Eid-el-Kabir celebration, calling on Nigerians to continue keeping faith with the ‘Renewed Hope’ administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“I want Nigerians and Muslim faithful to reflect on the sacrifices and acts of obedience of Prophet Ibrahim, who trusted in Almighty Allah (SWT) even at his most trying time, and the rewards afterwards”.

He notes that the sacrifices and trials bedeviling the nation will yield positive results soon, usher in dividends of democracy, good governance, and a better life for all citizens as envisaged by the robust policies and bold reform programmes of Mr President.

The statement further appeals to Nigerians not to relent in their prayers for the nation, stressing the need for patriotism as well as the importance of working together in peace, unity, and harmony for the development of the nation.

It adds that the electioneering season is over and now is the time for nation-building and good governance irrespective of political, ethical, or religious divides.

“The 25 years of uninterrupted democracy of Nigeria’s fourth republic should not be taken for granted and has shown how formidable Nigeria can be as a nation, though tribes and tongues may differ, in brotherhood we must continue to stand” Prince Audu states.

According to the statement, the Minister enjoined citizens to remember, celebrate, and extend charity to fellow compatriots who are underprivileged, reminding them of the teachings of peace and almsgiving of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).

“On behalf of myself, my family, and the entire staff of the Federal Ministry of Steel Development, I wish the President and Nigerians a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration,” Prince Audu adds.
