Eid-el-Kabir: DSS Cautions Nigs To Be Vigilant

As the Eid Kabir festivities begin, the Department of State Services DSS has cautioned celebrants to remain vigilant and adhere to personal security measures.

A statement by the spokesperson of the service, Peter Afunanya, while extending warm greetings to the Muslim community in celebration of Eid-el-Kabir, emphasized the significance of the festival, highlighting themes of faith, obedience, and generosity.

It further advises those attending or operating in public spaces such as malls, markets, parks, and railway stations to be particularly cautious and report any suspicious activities or security breaches to law enforcement to security agencies.

The DSS assures the public of its commitment to ensuring a safe and peaceful celebration period through close collaboration with other security agencies and stakeholders.

It also encourages all citizens to embody these values to foster national unity and transformation.
