Access To Clean Water Critical To Health, Devt

Minister of Water Resorces and Sanitation, Professor Joseph Utsev says access to clean water and proper sanitation plays a critical role in the nation’s health and development.

This is contained in a congratulatory message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed by him on this year’s democracy day celebration in Abuja.

According to the statement, Professor Utsev who says Water is life and sanitation is dignity adds that the ministry is dedicated to ensuring that every Nigerian has access to these basic necessities.

“As we commemorate Democracy Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR and all citizens of our great nation. Today, we celebrate the principles of Renewed Hope, justice, and unity that our democracy stands for” he adds.

“Our vision is clear: a Nigeria where every citizen, regardless of their location, has access to safe and sustainable water and sanitation services. We are committed to overcoming the challenges and making this vision a reality through innovative solutions, community engagement, and strategic partnerships” Professor Utsev stresses.

Also in his congratulatory message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister of state for water Resources and Sanitation, Bello Muhammad Goronyo states that in the Water sector, democracy has fueled the nation’s growth and innovation.

“We’re committed to the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr. President and Indeed by the grace of Almighty God, the future is assured. We will use the abundant Water Resources for the benefit of all, increase our Hygiene and Sanitation to drive our economic growth, prosperity and sustainability as enshrined in the #RenewedHope agenda of Mr President” Goronyo adds.

“We have continued to strengthen the fabrics of our nation with 25 years uninterrupted Democracy. Congratulations to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerians on this remarkable milestone, ” he states.
