There is no doubt that Nigeria is well endowed with abundant of natural, human and material resources.

The vast and varied resources endowment is a function partly of the country’s large geographical extent and parts of diversity of her natural environment.

Basically, it is formed by the fact that human life and development are based on the extent to which man can satisfy his basic needs of food, clothing and shelter.

To fulfill these, man requires access to certain amenities such as “health facility, water supply, electricity, adequate transportation and the likes”.

These social amenities are however, unequally distributed over space. As the cost of living soars and economic inequalities deepen, it is imperative for government intervention to bridge the gap.

Drawing examples from the developed countries like the United States, China, and the United Kingdom, Nigeria should embark on a transformative journey towards inclusive prosperity and economic growth.

The United States, for instance, is a stronghold of economic prowess, where subsidized social amenities complement salary increases to enhance living standards.

Federal and state governments allocate substantial resources to ensure access to healthcare, education, and housing for citizens across diverse socio-economic strata.
