The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, is to strengthen collaboration with relevant stakeholders at all levels towards dealing with menace of road accidents in the country.
Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, who stated this while speaking with newsmen in Abuja, said the Corps has increased campaigns in all motor parks and other public places to inculcate safe driving culture in motorists.
He maintained that the Corps would also strengthen partnerships with traditional and religious institutions to ensure that the safer roads campaign gets to the local communities.
According to him, the Corps must compliment the government’s huge investment in road rehabilitation and construction for socio- economic development.
The FRSC Corps Marshal, therefore, appealed to motorists, particularly commercial drivers, to always abide by traffic rules, avoid overloading, the use of phones while driving, and avoid intake of alcoholic drinks while driving.
Shehu Mohammed assured that the Corps would continue to increase its visibility to check the excesses of motorists and ensure effective road management in the country.
